Honorees
Every year, thousands of people flee persecution in their home countries and seek safe haven in the United States. Many of them spend their entire savings on the journey, travel under life-threatening conditions, and arrive on our shores with not much more than the clothes on their backs. This year we are delighted to honor the legal team at American Immigration Council and the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project for their recent work in B.H. et al v. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, et al. Join us to hear their story and about the impact of the case.

Abby Ginzberg, founder of Social Action Media has been producing award-winning documentaries about race and social justice for the past 30 years. Her films Soul of Justice: Thelton Henderson’s American Journey and Cruz Reynoso: Sowing the Seeds of Justice have aired on public television and been screened at film festivals across the United States and abroad. Her most recent award-winning documentary, Soft Vengeance: Albie Sachs and the New South Africa was funded in part by a grant from the Impact Fund and just won a prestigious Peabody Award. Abby was one of the founding board members of the Impact Fund in 1993 and continues to serve on the board to this day. We celebrate her service and honor her commitment to our movement.
